Liverpool John Lennon Airport, once known as Liverpool or Speke Airport and renamed after John Lennon in 2002, is at the end of Speke Avenue near the Land Rover plant.
Most flights are through Europe and carriers include easyJet, Flybe, KLM (starting 29th of March 2009), Ryanair, and Wizz Air.
If you're traveling from Manchester it's better to get the Terravision coach from Cholrton street. At 6 pounds it's both cheaper and quicker than taking the train and than changing Liverpool lime street.
Several transit options are available to and from the airport including by bicycle.
